Transforming Skin Confidence: How Targeted LED Therapy Helped One Patient Manage Eczema

When this patient first came to see our talented skin therapist, Tally, she felt completely at a loss. Having struggled with eczema since she was a baby, her skin had become increasingly difficult to manage over the years. Like many living with atopic dermatitis, she faced a daily battle with inflamed, itchy, dry skin – and a sense of frustration that nothing seemed to help long-term.

Understanding Eczema

Eczema, also known as atopic dermatitis, is a chronic skin condition that causes inflammation, dryness, and intense itching. It can flare up in response to triggers such as heat, stress, or allergens, and while there’s currently no cure, the right approach can dramatically improve symptoms and quality of life.

Tailored Skin Therapy Plan

During her initial consultation at The Townhouse Clinic, we carried out a full skin analysis to understand her unique concerns. From there, we created a bespoke treatment plan focused on calming inflammation, repairing the skin barrier, and preventing further flare-ups.

A key part of this plan involved the introduction of Thoclor Spray – a powerful, anti-inflammatory and healing hypochlorous acid spray that she applied consistently to her face and body. The results were almost immediate: fewer infections, reduced itching, and visibly calmer skin, especially during heat-triggered flare-ups.

The Power of Dermalux LED Therapy

We then incorporated a course of Dermalux LED Light Therapy, using the Triwave setting (a combination of blue, red, and near-infrared light). This award-winning technology promotes skin regeneration, calms inflammation, and helps to restore the skin’s natural barrier.

Over the course of her treatments, the transformation was remarkable. Her skin became noticeably less inflamed, the redness faded, and the intense heat and itchiness she’d grown used to began to subside.

Four Weeks On: A Whole New Outlook

Now, just four weeks post-treatment, her skin is in a completely different place. She’s no longer dealing with painful, sweat-induced flare-ups, and for the first time in years, she can move her face without tightness or discomfort.

We’re now moving into the maintenance phase, exploring options such as the Maysama LED panel – ideal for continued home use – and looking at nutritional skin support to nourish the skin from the inside out.

At The Townhouse Clinic, we never tire of seeing results like this. It’s always rewarding to witness the life-changing difference the right treatment – and the right support – can make.
